Training Programs at the Center

At the Center, the training program blends theory and practice to suit the diverse needs of the participants. Through training, participants acquire the kills and techniques needed to better understand and manage the land policies, rural development, and tax programs in their respective countries.

The curricula and programs are regularly revised in order to broaden and update the courses to meet the current and future needs of developing countries and emerging economies.

Three Regular Training Sessions are offered annually, which deal with the theories and practices related to:

•Land Policy and Sustainable Rural Development

 •Infrastructure Development and Planning

 •Urban Finance and Local Taxation

In addition to the Regular Sessions, the following courses and seminars are offered:

•Appraisal Course on Real Property Valuation

•Advanced Training Seminar and Special Session for Top-level Policy Makers and Senior-
  level Officials

•Commissioned Sessions to train staff of corporations and foreign and domestic
  institutions on specific subject matters

•Alumni Workshops to provide additional training and strengthen the close relationship
between the Center and its alumni

 •International and local seminars

Aside from classroom lectures, field trips are arranged to give participants the opportunity to observe ongoing projects and meet with planners, administrators, and government officials. Participants usually travel to central and southern Taiwan to visit the sites of cases discussed in the classroom.
