The Center was established in 1968 as an autonomous and non-profit educational organization, widely known as Land Reform Training Institute before 2000. Over the years, the Center has endeavored to fulfill its founding purpose through providing training and research opportunities for government officials and professionals who are working in the areas of land and tax policies and rural development. I am pleased to see that the Center's efforts have yielded abundantly with the guidance from its Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
The Center's participants are from 109 countries around the world and they have found the training courses beneficial to both their professional development and their offices. The Center is proud to know that its alumni are able to make the best use of their learning here to the betterment of their country. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our alumni, professors and friends for their continued support to the Center. The achievements made over the years are much attributed to your generous contribution to and enthusiasm in our programs.
To offer better learning environment, the Center continues to improve both its hardware and software. It has undertaken many projects to augment teaching facilities and promote cooperation with international and national academic institutions. These are always our primary concerns and important agenda. We hope that the Center will be further progressing to better serve our future participants, alumni and people interested in our programs.
